Oakmont to continue borough manager search, hire another interim administrator
Oakmont officials plan to hire another interim borough manager as the search for a permanent replacement continues.
Councilwoman Carrie DelRosso said about 60 candidates have submitted resumes.
“As a member of council, it is our responsibility to provide the borough with the most qualified professional who can manage the borough to the quality it deserves,” DelRosso said.
Council discussed the issue at an executive session Jan. 22.
Retired Sewickley Borough Manager Kevin Flannery was tapped as Oakmont’s interim manager in late November after longtime manager Lisa Cooper Jensen resigned. She served the borough in several capacities since mid-1986.
Her salary was listed in last year’s budget at $106,090.
Flannery is expected to remain on staff through the end of January.
Council President William Benusa said he was a tremendous asset to the borough.
“He’s been fantastic,” Benusa said. “He’ll be missed. I wish he could stay longer.”
Former Avonmore Borough Manager Harry Dilmore is expected to be Oakmont’s next interim manager.
His salary and projected length of service was not announced.
Dilmore’s hiring will likely be ratified Feb. 19 since council did not act on it this month.
The manager position remains posted under the “Employment Opportunities” tab of the borough website, oakmontborough.com .
The post listed a Nov. 30 deadline to submit resumes. However, council plans to readvertise the position next month.
A new deadline to submit resumes was not announced.
Requirements include a master’s degree in public administration, planning or other government-related field. A college degree in political science or other related field and any relevant combination of experience and education will be considered.
