Update: The consumer alert has been lifted.

Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the Deer Creek Diner in Russellton.

On Friday, inspectors found five violations, including one high-risk, for shredded cheese that was being kept at 66 degrees — 25 degrees warmer than allowed.

Inspectors also found the main prep cooler itself was 62 degrees — 25 degrees warmer than it should be, the report said.

There was also no certified food protection manager on site, and the door gasket was broken on one door to the main prep cooler.

The restaurant did not immediately return a call for comment.
