A dead body was discovered on the roof of a University of Pittsburgh dormitory Saturday morning, Pittsburgh police have confirmed.
University police responded at about 10 a.m. when the body was seen atop the dormitory on Lothrop Street, and city detectives also were called, according to Alicia George, a city public safety spokeswoman.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office also was called to the scene.
According to the university website, the co-ed Lothrop Hall houses more than 700 students on 14 floors.
