Feds: More than 35 pounds of cocaine in Monroeville hotel room

Federal authorities indicted a Florida man Wednesday for allegedly having more than 35 pounds of cocaine and almost $200,000 in cash stashed in his Monroeville hotel room.

According to the indictment, Racoco Williams, 35, of Lauderhill, Fla., the drugs and money were found after a authorities executed a search warrant at the Extended Stay Amercia Hotel on Northern Pike in Monroeville on Aug. 29, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a press release.

Based on the generally accepted value of $30,000 per kilogram, the sezied cocaine was worth about a half-million dollars.

Williams has been detained without bond pending trial. He faces a 10-year minimum mandatory sentence if convicted.
