The ice is covered as the glass is installed by workers for the Stadium Series Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at Heinz Field.
It remains one of the most iconic images of Sidney Crosby's career.

With a steady snowfall blanketing Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Penguins captain slipped a shot past goalie Ryan Miller in the third and final round of a shootout to give his team a 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres in the first NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 1, 2008.

The NHL is commemorating the 10th anniversary of the game with a new documentary, "The First Winter Classic, Hockey Goes Outside," which will premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday on NHL Network.

A handful of Penguins fans got a sneak peek when the documentary was shown at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry last Saturday night.

The hour-long program is narrated by Michael Keaton and includes interviews with Crosby, Colby Armstrong, Tyler Kennedy and Michel Therrien.
