Pittsburgh closed Noblestown Road Tuesday between Obey and Weaver streets in Elliott because of a landslide, according to the Mayor’s Office.
The state-owned road, which has been prone to sliding, is closed in both directions. The city Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is reviewing detour options and will issue updates in coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Pittsburgh has been plagued with slides in 2018 because of record-level rainfall early in the year and over the past weekend.
Several North Side streets remain closed because of slides.
City officials have said Pittsburgh would spend up to $3 million by year’s end on slide repairs.
