Mt. Lebanon man jailed on child pornography charges
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane's office arrested a Mt. Lebanon man Wednesday as part of a child pornography investigation, authorities said.
Agents from the Child Predator section and the Mt. Lebanon Police Department arrested Brian Bruder, 42, at his home on Wednesday and seized a laptop and an external hard drive, according to a statement from Kane's office. The investigation found “several files indicative of child pornography” on the devices, the statement said.
Police charged Bruder with two counts of distributing child pornography, 18 counts of possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17 before Magisterial District Judge Blaise Larotonda; court records show he remained at the Allegheny County Jail Thursday, unable to post bail.
