Noteworthy: Pittsburgh City Council awarded Perry a proclamation in recognition of his longtime involvement with Boy Scouts of America Troop 281 in Manchester.

Background: Perry served as scout master for Troop 281 for 42 years before turning over leadership of the troop to his son, Quentin, this year. Perry heads Cub Scout Troop 281 in Manchester. He is president and moderator for the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Black Presbyterian Caucus and is an elder at Bidwell United Presbyterian Church. He is secretary of the North Side Development Fund.
