Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald presented Dennis Wilke, 45, president of Rosedale Technical College in Kennedy, with a proclamation marking the institution as the county’s newest college and commemorating its recent success in preparing graduates for jobs in skilled trades.

Background: Wilke worked for May Department Stores Co., the parent company of Kaufmann’s department stores, for 14 years. He became vice president and controller of the company’s Houston-based Foley’s department stores. He started working for Rosedale as a vice president in 2005, then took over the presidency from his father.

Education: Wilke graduated from Meadville High School and earned degrees in economics and philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University.
