Noteworthy: The World Meeting of Families has appointed Gallagher to serve on its Government Outreach Committee, which is coordinating government support for the triennial meeting being held for the first time in the United States in September in Philadelphia. Sponsored by the Holy See's Pontifical Council for the Family, the meeting is the largest gathering of Catholic families in the world and will feature a visit by Pope Francis.

Background: Gallagher started her legal career in 1982 as an assistant district attorney for Allegheny County. In 1988, she joined Eckert Seamans and then ran a private practice out of her home for about six years. She returned to Eckert Seamans in 2001.

Education: Bachelor's degree in political science, French and philosophy from Grove City College and a law degree from Duquesne University.
