Background: Sutton began working at Bethel Park in 2003 as assistant director of special education. She became director in 2013. Previously, she worked as a special education adviser for the state Department of Education's Bureau of Special Education; as a consultant for the Western Instructional Support Center in Gibsonia; and as a special education teacher for 11 years.

Education: Bachelor's degree in education and a master's in school psychology from Duquesne University. Certification as a special education supervisor from the University of Pittsburgh.
