Noteworthy: The associate professor of theology and chair of the Consortium for Christian-Muslim Dialogue at Duquesne University is among 26 people who will participate in the Teaching Interfaith Understanding seminar offered by the Council of Independent Colleges and Interfaith Youth Core at DePaul University in Chicago from July 31 to Aug. 4.

Education:Ph.D. in media and theology from Marquette University in Milwaukee

Background:The Consortium for Christian-Muslim dialogue educates people about Islam and Christianity and the need for members of the two religions to engage with one another to understand each other better. Iwuchukwu's area of research is Christian-Muslim dialogue. He teaches courses on world religions with a strong focus/interest in religious pluralism. He previously taught at the Federal College of Education in Kano, Nigeria, for about 12 years.
