Noteworthy: The board of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors has chosen Croushore to be association president for 2015, a year-long volunteer position. He took the reins Tuesday in a ceremony in Harrisburg. The association counts about 30,000 Realtors as members.

Occupation: Croushore is owner and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty in Pittsburgh. The company had been branded as Prudential Preferred Realty until its transition to Berkshire Hathaway in 2014.
Education: Croushore graduated in 1968 from Hempfield Area High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1972.
Background: In the real estate business for more than 30 years, Croushore has served as president of West Penn Multi-List Inc. and as president of the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. As leader of the state Realtors' association, he said he plans to focus on government and media relations and to encourage the public to seek out professional Realtors for help.
