Drivers heading out of Pittsburgh via the Highland Park Bridge late Thursday may want to plan for delays or take an alternate route.
Road crews plan to shut down one northbound lane on the Highland Park Bridge starting at 6 p.m. Thursday and continuing through 4 a.m. Friday.
The thoroughfare over the Allegheny River connects Route 8 in Pittsburgh to Route 28 in Aspinwall and O’Hara .
Crews from Amelie Construction will be doing plug weld work, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said.
Drivers headed southbound should not be affected, and all ramps will remain open, Cowan said.
