A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized Christmas Day after his 12-year-old brother shot him at a Pine Township home, police said.
Northern Regional Police Chief Bob Amann told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI that the younger boy was holding a .22-caliber rifle Tuesday when it discharged, striking his brother in the back.
Authorities told WPXI the older boy was conscious and responsive when medics arrived at the home on the 400 block of Conrad Drive. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, Amann said.
No additional information was immediately available.
