Pittsburgh police are investigating an armed robbery of a Rite Aid store on Brownsville Road in Carrick.
Around 9:30 p.m., a man walked up to the cash register with two snack items in his hand, removed a gun from his pocket and demanded the cashier to open the register, police said. The man removed money from the register and left the store.
The man is described as a light skin black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, between 22 and 23 years old. He was wearing a green winter coat, black sneakers with white soles, light gray sweatpants and a blue scarf at the time of the robbery, police said.
