Say it ain't so, Kennywood. Say it ain't so.

The park's popular Log Jammer, in operation for more than four decades, will soak its last group of riders Sept. 17.

Predictably, the greater Pittsburgh area is losing its collective mind over the ride's discontinuation.

Apparently this style of ride is referred to as a "log flume" everywhere but Kennywood. We say that's enough of a reason to keep it around — not to mention that "log flume" kind of sounds like an unfortunate medical condition.

Some folks are hoping for one last ride.

Some are proposing replacements.

Some proposals are funnier than others.

Some took the opportunity to make a "Big Lebowski"-related joke, which we're always in favor of.

This might be our favorite (and potentially most accurate) prediction.

Nope, wait, we take that back.

And finally, we do not endorse this.
