Police arrest Homewood man in shooting of 18-year-old woman
Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old Braddock woman after she got off a Port Authority bus Tuesday in Homewood.
Jawan Johnson, 21 of Homewood has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault, Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.
Johnson was the man shown in photos police released as a person of interest.
Johnson had been walking with the victim along North Homewood Avenue toward Susquehana Street just before the shooting, Toler said.
The victim was shot in the back. Medics rushed her to UPMC Presbyterian, where she was listed in critical condition.
