Police seek help identifying man who punched South Side gyro shop owner

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 3 Facebook page posted a still taken from surveillance cameras inside Lesvos Gyros early Sept. 19. According to police, the 67-year-old owner told a pair of customers at about 1:45 a.m. that the store was closing; a customer in a Steelers hat and 'Lean Team' sweatshirt got upset and punched the owner as he was leaving.
Pittsburgh police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who punched the clerk at a South Side restaurant last month when he was told the business was closing for the night.

Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported that owner Steven Zarzlas said he gave the suspect and his companion their gyros to go, but the man in the sweatshirt started calling him "a derogatory racial name." The assault apparently took place just outside the business as Zarzlas escorted the men outside; video from inside the shop showed him getting up off the ground and holding his eye as he came back inside.
