Reward offered for info about Braddock man who fled hospital with an I.V. still attached
Area police are seeking the public’s help to find a man accused of robbery, assault and other charges and fleeing a hospital with an IV attached before police could arrive to arrest him.
Jerome Solomon, 30, of Braddock, is named in Allegheny County Police warrants for a May 11 incident in Wilmerding.
According to court records, among the charges he faces are robbery, theft, assault, reckless endangering another person.
In another case, Turtle Creek police filed charges accusing Solomon in an April incident with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and driving without a license.
On Sept. 15, Allegheny County and Pitcairn police attempted to arrest Solomon at a residence. He ran away but was found after he fell over a wall and broke his ankle.
Police said he had surgery at a local hospital and the hospital staff contacted them. But before officers arrived, Solomon fled with an IV and heart monitor, according to Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers.
Surveillance video showed he left with the help of some men and women.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to his arrest and prosecution. Callers can remain anonymous.
