A Robert Morris University student died in a car wreck in Ohio Township on Saturday night.

Ryan McCutcheon, 19, crashed his vehicle while driving along Route 65 at Toms Run Road at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police told Tribune-Review news partners WPXI-TV.

McCutcheon, a sophomore at Robert Morris, died at the scene, according to authorities.

“The RMU community is deeply saddened by the loss of this promising young man, and we grieve with his family,” said Jonathan Potts, the university's director of public relations. “We have counseling services available for any student, faculty, or staff who needs to seek help over the coming days.”

Ohio Township police told the station that there were no other vehicles involved in the accident, which still is being investigated.
