Truck spills load on Parkway West, snarls traffic between Green Tree, Robinson
A truck lost its load along the Parkway West midday Thursday, snarling traffic for hours while crews worked to clean up the debris, officials said.
Shortly after 1 p.m., Interstate 376 was reduced to a single lane in both directions near the Crafton/Green Tree exits, PennDOT spokeswoman Yasmeen Manyisha said.
Crews also closed the on-ramp from Route 22/30 to outbound I-376.
The report of the truck crash came in about 12:15 p.m., an Allegheny County 911 shift commander said. The 911 call center did not receive any requests for medical transport due to injuries.
Emergency officials were still at the scene around 2 p.m.
Officials urged drivers to use caution while traveling through the area.
