Victim identified in fatal East Hills crash
One woman was killed and another was taken to the hospital after an SUV crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh's East Hills neighborhood early Monday morning.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the woman killed as Isis D. Mitchell, 42.
Police told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI that the crash happened at the corner of Frankstown Avenue and North Wheeler Street at about 12:45 a.m.
A passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the driver is unknown.
