Political experience: Councilman for 12 years; chairman of the Plum Democratic Committee for four years and a member for 25
Statement: I believe the most important issue we face in the next year is the drilling of fracking wells and injection wells to dispose fracking waste fluids into the ground of our community. If we allow more of these wells close to or in the residential areas of Plum, we take the risk of not only hurting our environment and ruining our drinking water, but we also take the risk of ruining our property values. On average, property values drop 13 percent in communities that allow these operations. I don't think it is worth the risk.

Statement: Several important issues face our community, but if I have to pick one it would be property taxes. Council and school board are focused on their specific problems and no one is looking at the overall picture and how it effects citizens and growth. As mayor, I will work with both taxing authorities to help them see the big picture; how it is negatively affecting the community and work with them to determine how best to meet their individual needs.
