The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre brought its Ballet FUNdamentals program to the Plum Community Library June 27.
The visit was part of the library's music-themed summer reading program.
Members of the theatre performed part of “The Sleeping Beauty” and educated children on what it takes to be a ballerina.
“It went very well,” said children's librarian Tammy Andrews. “They learned about the costume of the ballerina, learned some ballet forms and danced.”
At least 50 children participated in the morning and afternoon performances.
Families can sign up for summer reading at 445 Center New Texas Road.
