Renton Volunteer Fire Department in Plum has a new pumper
Renton Volunteer Fire Department in Plum recently received a new truck.
Fire Chief David Bender said the 15 member department took delivery of the 2018 Pierce Saber pumper in March.
The borough paid $411,000 of the $497,000 cost through its fire fund. Renton VFD will cover the rest.
“This vehicle has the latest technology on board, such as scene lighting, low hose bed in the rear to reduce injury, improved fire pump with pressure controls, interior safety such as belt alarms and rollover protection,” Bender said.
It replaced an 18-year-old pumper.
