The Lot: New restaurant and cigar bar is open in Oakmont
The Lot at Edgewater recently opened in Oakmont.
Described on its website as a “new-age diner/drinkery/chop house/cigar bar,” the business at 145 Allegheny Ave. is owned by John Keefe, who also owns Carnivores and The Pub at 333 in Oakmont.
He said he wanted to bring the city to the suburbs.
“But without the city prices and less traffic than downtown,” Keefe said.
Breakfast is served 6 a.m.-2 p.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 4-10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
The restaurant will offer everything from traditional waffles, bacon and sausage to avocado toast with pepper jam and a fried egg for breakfast, or smoked pork belly to roast turkey clubs for lunch. The dinner menu features steaks and bone-in ribeyes with a variety of rubs and sauces, pork, veal and lamb chops. Meals range from $6 to $56.
The bar features craft cocktails, alcoholic milkshakes, wine, bourbon, scotch and whiskey, just to name a few drinks.
The cigar bar upstairs features products from Oakmont's Smoke n' Guns shop. It features leather chairs, personal lockers where smokers can store their cigars and a conference table that can be used for business meetings.
