Patagonia brings clothing repair roadshow to Seven Springs this weekend

Dan Speicher

After years of hosting pop-up Worn Wear events, Patagonia on Friday brought its clothing repair and exchange program to Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion. The crew will remain at the resort, its last stop on the East Coast tour, through Sunday.

Beyond repairing articles of clothing from any brand — not just Patagonia — expert seamstresses also will teach people how to make their own repairs — even offering used clothing for teaching instruction. Find a pair of shorts that you like hanging on the rack with a rip in them, and they will provide you instruction on how to repair them. And if you complete the repair, you get to keep the item.

“One of the most responsible things we can do as a company is make high-quality stuff that lasts for years, so you don’t have to buy more of it,” the company says on its website.

The Worn Wear trailer will be open from noon to 5 p.m. each day through Sunday.

Note: Clothing only. No shoes, boots, luggage or hardgoods will be repaired.
