Police: ‘Survivor’ winner Jenna Morasca bit officer after drug overdose
Bridgeville native and “Survivor” reality-show star Jenna Morasca will be charged with assaulting a police officer and paramedics in Washington County after being revived from an apparent drug overdose, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.
A driver told police that someone was passed out behind the wheel of a sport-utility vehicle at a stop sign in South Strabane on Jan. 25.
Police found Morasca, 37, unconscious in a running Chevrolet Trax with the custom license plate “AMAZON,” according to WPXI.
A passenger in the Trax tried to hide syringes, police said.
Paramedics treated Morasca with the overdose-reversing drug Narcan.
When she woke up, Morasca tried to fight paramedics, and bit a police officer’s arm, WPXI reports.
Morasca won $1 million in 2003’s “Survivor: The Amazon.” She later appeared in numerous other reality shows, including “Celebrity Apprentice,” “Fear Factor” and “The Amazing Race.”
