Police: Woman shot boyfriend in Indiana County school parking lot
An Indiana County woman was charged this weekend with shooting her boyfriend in the parking lot of a local elementary school.
The victim, who was not named, was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center, where officials said he suffered a superficial wound.
State police in Indiana said Jennifer Rose Neese, 37, of Commodore was driving with her boyfriend on Route 286 in Montgomery Township just before 11 p.m. Friday when, as they argued, she pulled over in the parking lot of Purchase Line Elementary School, retrieved a loaded .380-caliber pistol from her pocket, left the car and pointed the weapon at her boyfriend.
Police said Neese fired one shot through the driver's door of the vehicle, striking the 42-year-old victim in the leg.
Police arrested Neese at the home she shared with the victim.
Neese was charged with reckless endangerment and was in the Indiana County jail after she was unable to post a $25,000 cash bond set by Magisterial District Judge Guy Haberl.
