Wreck snarling Turnpike traffic between Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley
An accident between the Turnpike’s Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley interchanges has created gridlock along the westbound lanes, according to PennDOT.
The accident was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 49, according to the transportation agency.
Traffic is either stopped or moving slowly while the accident is being cleared.
