For the third year in a row, Paynter Elementary School first- and third-graders opted to participate in a Christmas service project instead of exchanging gifts.

Students gathered in the auditorium on Monday to work together to create blankets—two large pieces of cozy fabric tied together—for the Pittsburgh-based Wrapped in Love Foundation.
