Allegheny County’s public pools and spray parks will open for the season Saturday.

The Boyce Park Wave Pool, North Park Swimming Pool, Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool & Dive Pool and South Park Wave Pool will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, weather permitting, according to a county news release.

The facilities’ daily rates range from $1 to $8 depending on the person’s age and whether they live in the county.

North Park Swimming Pool features a new inflatable challenge course, picnic area and lounge chairs, the release said. The South Park Wave Pool has new wave-generating equipment, while Settlers Cabin Wave Pool has a renovated locker room.

The pools and spray parks will close for the season Sept. 3.
