Coxcomb Hill Road (Route 909) in Plum reopened after head-on collision Tuesday

Traffic was shut down for a time Tuesday afternoon on Coxcomb Hill Road (Route 909) in Plum following a head-on collision.

According to Plum police, one woman was injured when she lost control of her car on a snowy section of the road and struck an oncoming car just before 3 p.m.

The driver of the car that lost control was injured and taken by ambulance to an area hospital. The other driver was not injured.

The identities of the drivers were not immediately available.

Traffic was stopped in both directions of Coxcomb Hill Road between Logans Ferry Road and Kerr Road for about an hour while emergency crews cleared the scene.
