Fawn church to honor first responders Sunday
A Fawn church will honor first responders on Sunday.
Harvest Baptist Church will hold its fourth annual “First Responders Appreciation Day” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, said Dominic Cardamone, administrative pastor.
The church first held the event in 2015. It’s focused on firefighters, police and paramedics.
They and their families are encouraged to attend, and the event is open to the public, too, Cardamone said.
Around 100 first responders and their families have attended in previous years.
“As a church, we are really thankful for the service and sacrifice of so many in our community who put their lives on the line for our safety, and we want to let them know we love them,” Cardamone said. “This special day will serve as an opportunity to honor and thank many first responders.”
First responders from Fawn, Harrison, Springdale, New Kensington, Arnold, Lower Burrell, and Washington Township have committed to attending, Cardamone said.
Harvest Baptist Church is at 224 Harvest Lane in Fawn.
