Tarentum’s business owners stepped up and got to decorating for the borough’s Christmas window decorating contest.
The Recreation Board has selected the winners.
“We had so many decorate, it was a very tough decision,” Tarentum Councilwoman Carrie Fox said. “These business owners went out of their way.”
Lehman Flower Shop took first place, followed by runnerup Costello Printing.
Asay’s News Stand came in third. There was a tie for honorable mention between Dry Bones and Seita Jewelers.
It had been a long time since such a contest had been done. The Recreation Board brought it back this year.
“The business owners went out of there way to bring out the Tarentum Christmas spirit,” Fox said. “I love it. Our borough looks amazing.”
The board will sponsor a flower contest in the spring, Fox said.
