Someone slashed two large above-ground swimming pools in Vandergrift over the July 14-15 weekend, police said.

Both pools were in the Heights section of the borough, according to Vandergrift patrolman Nate Rigatti.

A damage estimate wasn’t available.

Rigatti also said someone took change from about 15 vehicles in the borough.

“We’re asking people to stay vigilant and, if they see anything that doesn’t look right, to call us right away,” Rigatti said.

Police may be contacted at 724-568-5507 or by calling 911.
