A North Versailles automated-door manufacturer this week received approval for a state loan to buy a building it already is using in the Westmoreland Industrial Park IV in North Huntingdon.
Tucker Auto-Mation Supply PA will use a $246,000 low-interest loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority program to purchase the building at 11075 Parker Drive. The 15-year loan comes with a 3 percent interest rate.
The development authority this week approved the loan, which will pass through Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland. The Greensburg-based economic development organization has worked with Tucker since February.
Tucker makes and installs automated door systems for industrial and commercial uses. It is part of Tucker Auto-Mation Holdings USA LLC, which was founded in 2013 and operates plants in North Carolina, Colorado, Indiana and Quebec, Canada.
Company CEO Patrick Mercier could not be reached for comment.
Tucker is purchasing the 14,000-square-foot building in the industrial park from Palmer Real Estate Limited Partnership of North Huntingdon, said James Smith, president of the Economic Growth Connection. The purchase price of the building is $615,000, according to state development authority spokesman David Misner.
The company plans to add six jobs to the 12 it has at the facility, state officials said.
The development authority this week approved a total of $3.3 million in loans for six recipients in the state. The money is expected to generate more than $13.8 million in private investments and create or retain 114 jobs, according to a state Department of Community and Economic Development release.
