Calibration problems reported in Irwin voting machine
A technician was sent to fix a voting machine in Irwin that was reportedly switching parties because of calibration problems.
Nobody’s ability to vote was compromised by the technical problem, according to Westmoreland Election Bureau officials.
Voters who had problems with the machine at First Presbyterian Church in Irwin were able to use other machines.
If technicians are unable to fix a problem machines can be replaced, but this has not been necessary, according to county officials.
No other technical problems have been reported in Westmoreland County.
