Greensburg attorney hired as Irwin solicitor

Irwin council has chosen an attorney from a Greensburg law firm to serve as its solicitor.

Zachary Kansler, of Tremba, Kinney, Greiner and Kerr LLC, was hired by a unanimous vote at a special meeting Wednesday. He was one of four candidates, officials said.

Kansler will be paid $110 per hour for attending meetings and conducting legal work for the borough.

The former solicitor, Daniel Beisler, did not reapply, said borough manager Mary Benko.
