Gray skies and the threat of (even more) rain on Saturday didn't keep people away from the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival .
Vendor booths and live music were up and running, and artist Franz Spohn continued to solicit attendees' assistance in creating a gumball mosaic of golf legend Arnold Palmer. By lunchtime on Saturday, the mosaic was nearly two-thirds complete.
Spohn said he plans to save about 30 of the gumball-filled tubes for Sunday.
"We've got about 10 more tubes to do today, and then we'll get started again tomorrow," he said. "We could finish it off today, but I want to make sure we have some work for people to do on Sunday."
The mosaic will be presented to festival organizers.
