The Pennsylvania Turnpike will close in both directions between the New Stanton (Exit 75) and Breezewood (Exit 161) exits for roughly six hours overnight, according to an alert on its website.
The road will close at 11 p.m. tonight and re-open to traffic by 5 a.m. Sunday, the alert said.
The closure is required for bridge beam erection and is weather permitting, the alert said.
During the closure, traffic will be able to enter at the Bedford Interchange (Exit 146) and travel east. Traffic will also be able to enter at the Somerset (Exit 110) and Donegal (Exit 91) interchanges and travel west.
