A former Pleasant Hills man has been charged with robbing two Westmoreland County banks in 2013.

Officials from the Western District U.S. Attorney’s office have charged Matthew D. Stanley, 32, with robbing the First Commonwealth Bank in New Alexandria on Aug. 19, 2013, as well as a second robbery 10 days later at a Citizens Bank branch in Latrobe, according to the indictment.

Stanley faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

Latrobe police, Westmoreland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation and FBI officials cooperated in the investigation.
