Police: Delmont man sexually assaulted woman after New Year's Eve party
Police and Westmoreland County Detectives Friday charged 53-year-old man with allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in his Delmont home after a New Year's Eve party.
Robert Pantalone is charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault and three counts of indecent assault in connection with the assaults that allegedly occurred early Jan. 1.
Delmont police Capt. Joe Calabrase alleges in an affidavit that the woman attended a New Year's Eve party and stayed overnight in a basement room.
She told Calabrase and Detective Nicholas Caesar that she woke up about 3:30 a.m. to discover Pantalone was in her bed and he allegedly assaulted her.
She provided investigators a text message she later received from Pantalone apologizing for the alleged assault, according to the affidavit.
Pantalone was arraigned before Export District Judge Charles Conway and released on $10,000 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing April 24.
