State police on Monday identified an Acme man who died a day after a July 16 crash in Mt. Pleasant Township.

Joseph Tamargo, 66, was driving his Mazda Tribute sport-utility vehicle south on White Bridge Road and swerved off the right side after rounding a turn, according to police. The passenger side of the SUV hit a tree, swerved back onto the road and went over a small embankment on the opposite side. The vehicle then swerved back and crossed the road a third time and hit two more trees, police said.

Tamargo was taken to Excela Frick Hospital then transferred to UPMC Presbyterian where he died of his injuries the next night, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.
