Police need help identifying man who exposed himself to female clerk at Hempfield store
State police need help identifying a man who they said exposed himself to a Hempfield convenience store clerk.
The man is seen on surveillance video released Friday adjusting his shirt and unzipping his shorts in the parking lot of the Valero gas station on Wendel Road while smoking a cigarette. Police said the incident happened in August.
His genitals were exposed when he walked inside the convenience store and purchased an iced tea. He paid a female clerk for the item and the video shows him walking out of the store with a smirk on his face, said Trooper Stephen Limani. The clerk called police.
“We’re hoping someone could identify this individual,” Limani said. “We have a clear picture of him. He doesn’t do anything to try to conceal his identity.”
The white male suspect was wearing light colored shorts and a dark T-shirt. He has dark hair and was wearing dark-framed glasses. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-832-3288.
That type of behavior can gradually progress and become more predatory, Limani said.
“There’s no way this is the first time that this person committed this act,” he said. “It’s getting a kick out of doing what you’re doing.”
