Rivers Casino, CCAC to host dealer school
Rivers Casino and Community College of Allegheny County will host an open house Thursday for prospective dealers for casino games.
Two open house sessions, one at noon and and a second at 6 p.m., will be conducted in in CCAC's casino dealer training space located in the library, Room L112, on the Allegheny Campus. Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP at riverscasino.com/pittsburgh/dealerschool.
Attendees will be able to meet with Rivers Casino's professional dealers to learn about the dealer experience. Human resources representatives will provide details regarding benefits, compensation potential and available scholarships through CCAC's Educational Foundation that cover the entire cost of the introductory Blackjack and Banked Games class. CCAC and casino Team Members will also be on hand to explain the application process for enrolling in the Feb. 12 course.

Information will also be provided regarding Rivers Casino's benefits that are not typically available from other employers. “The 120-hour introductory Blackjack and Banked Games course provides the foundation for starting a new profession as a table dealer,” said Patricia Friedrich, account executive at Community College of Allegheny County. “CCAC's casino dealer training school is approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and is recognized by all casinos in the state, as well as several out-of-state casinos.”
