St. Clair Township man's body found
Searchers found the body of a St. Clair Township man who had been missing for more than a week.
The body of Scott Herman Neuner, 45, was discovered Saturday morning in a creek that runs behind a residential neighborhood along Fifth Street in Seward. Family and friends had organized a search that began shortly after dawn in that area.
About 50 people participated, and they found his body about an hour into the search, officials said.
A spokesperson said the family had no comment.
Officials confirmed Neuner's body had been found but said it could be weeks before the cause and manner of death are known.
An autopsy will be performed Sunday but it could take several weeks for toxicology reports, Westmoreland County Deputy Coroner Sean Hribal said.
“There's no evidence of any traumatic wounds that would be indicative of foul play at this point or any traumatic injury at this point in time, but the autopsy will certainly tell us a lot more,” he said.
Neuner had been reported missing by his daughter. He was last seen about 9 p.m. Oct. 27.
