An area for dogs at Twin Lakes Park is temporarily closed, according to the Westmoreland County Bureau of Parks and Recreation.

All three fenced-in areas of the Franklin Dog Park in Hempfield are not in use because of muddy conditions caused by rain.

The park is about the size of two football fields.

The department will announce when the park is re-opening.

The dog park previously closed in late February for maintenance after inclement weather.
