Unity fire ruled arson by state police

A state police fire marshal ruled that a Wednesday fire in Unity was arson, according to a news release.The blaze in the area of Coke Oven Hill and Bruno roads caused about $30,000 in damage, according to Trooper Seth Helman.

Firefighters were called to the abandoned house in the Marguerite section of the township at 1:40 a.m.

Police said the property is owned by Eric Firestone of Latrobe.
